I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
